The Brazos County A&M Club invites you to our upcoming September luncheon featuring:
David Kipp, Director of Choral Activities at Texas A&M University and longtime director of the Texas A&M Singing Cadets
Kipp is in his 31st year as the 13th director of the Singing Cadets, the internationally known “Voice of Aggieland.” During his tenure, the group has traveled more than 1 million miles, given more than 2,000 performances, and toured internationally across six continents. His career with the Singing Cadets has also included performances at Carnegie Hall and The Kennedy Center and as well as a special relationship with President and Mrs. George H.W. Bush.
The presentation will offer a behind-the-scenes look at one of Texas A&M’s most beloved traditions, including stories from Kipp’s three decades leading the Singing Cadets, their international tours, the Aggie families who open their homes to the Cadets while they travel, and memorable experiences with the Bush family through the years. Kipp will also share what’s ahead for Texas A&M’s choral programs as they continue carrying the Aggie Spirit to audiences at home and around the world.
